Stanford Children's Health (Lucile Packard) New RN Residency Program - Fall 2022

Published

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to start a forum for the Stanford Children's Health (Lucile Packard) New RN Residency Program that will begin Fall 2022. Wishing everyone the best of luck!

For those who got an email for an interview: isn't it odd that interviews are between 7/25-28 and offers are given on 7/29? The email makes it sound like there are multiple interviews, so how are they giving offers so fast? I'm wondering if this is an error.

Has anyone heard back from PICU or hem onc?

I had PICU as my first choice and got an email to interview for critical care, so I'm assuming this counts as PICU.

It's on their website!

For those of you who have replied back accepting the interview, have you gotten the Zoom link yet? I replied on Friday and haven't gotten a zoom link yet and my interview is next Tuesday. Just curious... ?

I do find this timeline very short as well. I was surprised to hear yesterday on a weekend and so late considering my interview is in a week. Wishing everyone Goodluck on their interviews!!

not yet ?  but it also seems like acute care is the only department that has reached out for interviews? I haven't heard back and I chose PICU and hem/onc. Which departments did you request?

I chose acute care and hem/onc. I'm just discouraged since the interview is next week ? I wonder if they would consider us for other departments? I wonder what they are looking for in choosing candidates since there wasn't really application questions/essays like I have seen in other residency applications. Hoping for the best for us!!

I'm hoping they will reach out by the end of the week considering interviews are next week!! I know someone mentioned that's about the timeline from emails to interviews for the last cohort. Do you happen to have any experience in peds acute care of hem/onc? I also have no idea what the preferred qualifications are /: but I'm hoping we will be hearing from them!

When did you receive the interview for critical care? I'm hoping it may be going out in waves nonetheless congrats! Did you have PICU experience?

I worked as an extern on an peds acute med-surg floor! But I did not have my practicum in peds. I also do not have my license yet so I wonder if that is something they factor in. What about you?

I'll keep praying for us! The job search as a new grad has been so tiresome haha.
