St. pauls vs swedish institute?

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi i recently just got kicked out of the 4 year nursing program at my school for not passing two nursing classes with a C. My GPA is quite low right now, 3.07 because i did poorly on my nursing classes. Im considering switching over to a private school and get my associates first and eventually getting my BSN. im considering between St. pauls or swedish institute. Are there any current students attending this school right now or recent graduates. I know the tuition is quite high for both of these schools but i have several credits i can transfer over. will having my prereqs be able to lower the tuition in any way. I have heard that St. Pauls is not accredited and that can be an issue as well. im planning on getting my bsn later on in the future, will no accreditation be an issue at other schools? overall, any information on these two schools will be greatly appreciated, was finding a job hard after graduation, any graduates continue on to getting their bsn after graduating? Thank you so much!

No accreditation is a major problem. Sitting for NCLEX may be a problem, much less finding a job or getting a BSN.

Massive school loans is also going to be a problem. We have an ongoing thread about that right now. Take a look at it.

When I went to school with your grandparents, we used to spend a semester (or two) taking easy classes to get our GPAs up if needed. Canoeing, sailing, ballroom dance, calculus (don't laugh -- some people find that stuff easy and manage to flunk out of "Nursing in Society" or "Interpersonal Communication." Hopefully others will have more modern suggestions.
