St Mary's University CRNA starting 2015

Published

Hi I was wondering has anyone received and email/letter inviting them for an interview for SMU crna program starting in 2015?? I checked the website and it does not say, I know when I turned in my application they said by beginning of May they would hopefully have some decisions. Getting a little anxious here!!! Any information would be great!

I have not heard anything yet either. I called today because I was under the impression we would know by now and was told they would get back to me. Lets hope we know soon to ease some anticipation!

ok! woo that makes me feel a little better! thanks for the update...please write more if you hear anything :) thank you!

Any updates guys?

I got a letter a few days ago saying they dont do face to face interviews any more and so require you to write a personal statement. How do you guys feel about this? I live in Chicago, does anyone have friends or colleagues they have known to go there and if so how did they like it? Thanks for any info!

I'm currently a student there and I like it. If you want to know more then PM me.

Da Milk of Amnesia, what are your thoughts of MSA vs SMU? noticed that SMU is 64 credits and MSA is 48 according to the allcrnaschools website. Although they are both masters is their much of a difference? I am waiting to hear regarding acceptance from SMU right now. Would appreciate any thoughts!

Hey Da Milk of Amnesia. I applied to St Mary's and received a chance to submit a interview essay and was told they would make final admission decision by mid July. Could you answer a few questions about the program?

1. How many students are in each class at Saint Mary's CRNA program?

2. How many of your clinical sites are shared with anesthesia residents?

3. Do students get good support from the school at their clinical sites?

4. How far are the majority of the clinical sites?

5. Do most students feel prepared before they graduate to practice on their own?

6. Do most students get jobs in the twin cities area post graduation?

7. How does Saint Mary's compare to MSA and U of M?

8. Do students get enough variety with each pt population?

Sorry to bombard you with questions! Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks

Feel free to message me for questions regarding msa.

- Sent you a PM regarding you questions.

has anyone heard back from smu? any letters or phone calls yet? I know it is not quite mid July, but here is hoping.

Hey jae05e,

I received a invitation to submit a "professional goal statement" on May 6th that was due June 23rd. I received a letter in the mail offering me a place in their program on July 5th. You can check your status on their website as well. If you have been accepted it will say you are admitted. I doubt they have denied anyone yet since some people will choose other programs and then they will offer acceptances to other applicants.
