Hi, I was hoping to start a topic for those of us hired at St. Luke's TMC for July 2021 NRP to ask questions and what not for the onboarding process

Feel free to share what unit you will be on and any information you'd like

hey everyone! I was offered a residency spot in the TMC for the fall 2021 cohort. I know this thread is a bit old, but I just wanted to check in to ask how y’all enjoyed the residency program/working at St. Luke’s

I am deciding on a spot in the residency also.   Can I ask what unit?   Mine is Thoracic ICU.

Hi there. It sounds like we may have been offered the same unit! I have an offer for the thoracic surgery ICU/surgical ICU (for some reason they were grouped together for the offer).

Yes, that is the unit I was offered also.  Are they two different units?    Can you email me?   Then we can find a way to chat, [email protected].

Hi! I know this chat might be a little old but I wanted to ask the people who got in is there a contract after you complete your year residency? Like do you have to stay for a year longer as a nurse there? I am thinking of applying but was not sure.

There’s no contract but if you are an out of town applicant, you might qualify for a relocation bonus. The relocation bonus is basically a contract saying if you’re fired or quit, you have to repay back the bonus

Thank you! So if you stay for the entire residency program then decide to leave would you still have to repay the bonus? Or no since you stayed for the programs length?

No! After you graduate from the program, you’re not bound by anything
