Hey yall, i made this new thread for those of us who interviewed with CHI St.Lukes this past friday (8-23-2019) so that we can communicate with each other about receiving offers, i feel it will help decrease anxiety (maybe even increase it, hopefully not though), and also help those who are offered a job make friends before start date!

try emailing linda, shes super sweet and she will tell you where shes at in the process, I have her email if anyone needs it

@Islander808 when do you start at St. Lukes? I am applying for Spring 2020 and just sent in my packet/survey questions/unofficial transcript. Can you give me an idea of how long the whole process took?Thanks! and Congratulations!!

Hey I actually start this upcoming Monday Oct 21. The process overall including packets and surveys took about 3 months to get a call back for an interview, once you have interviewed you find out about 3 days later (up to 10 days) if you have gotten hired. Once hired its about another month until you start.

Thank you for the info. Can I ask when you started the process? What date did yall submit applications? In your experience, was St. Lukes the last hospital to call/email?

@Helen Kirkham HI I am very curious about this whole process and how you like it so far. I am graduating with my adn in May and really want a nurse residency. Any advice? Do you know how many adn's they hired? this is crazy nerve racking .

@ronica3222 All I have done so far is the online application and they have you answer a few short answer/essay questions. Interviews are on November 13, and they are supposed to email with an invitation. I haven't heard anything yet. I'm not sure of the number of people ADN or BSN that they hire though. If I find out any more info i will keep you updated! I can tell you, that I interviewed with Memorial Hermann med center for IMU; they had 70 applications, interviewed 26, and 4 got the job. I was not one of the four. I have gotten rejection letters from MD ANderson, Texas Children's, and Methodist. Just waiting on St. Lukes. Its very competitive, join clubs and nursing organizations, volunteer....those things will help you stand out. I felt I was lacking in that department and the other applicants that had more volunteer hours seemed to get a better response.

@ronica3222 Have you heard anything from St. Luke regarding the interview on Nov 13? I’m still waiting myself.

I'm still waiting too! Hopefully they start sending out emails this week!
