and I thought it went ok, not great, but ok. After, I was told to go have a seat while they "discussed their desicion" and when they came back out, I got the, "We have more interviews to conduct but thanks for coming in" line. Some people are telling me I might still have a shot, but I am thinking, not a chance.

Has anyone ever heard this and still got the job?

Thanks!

Id send them a thank you card for their time, reaffirming everything you had said in your interview and how you are looking forward to hearing from them(just keep it short and sweet) But in the mean time, I wouldnt bank on that job- keep networking and marketing yourself. When you hear back from them thats when you should be hopeful

Thank you for your reply. I was considering sending a thank you letter, however I can only recall one of their names and she never mentioned her last name. I was assuming that I would be interviewed by one person, so when I saw a panel, I was a little thrown off.

Thanks again!

Yes, getting interveiwed by more than one person threw me off. And i am also waiting to hear back, I also assumed i had the position- she had me meet with two different NM from two diff departments and they both were like, we really like you, now we just have to talk and convince the director- who before I left said ok let me just et a hold of your references and i will bein touch. Its been a couple of days and I am nervous as I havent gotten a call back- But I will give it some time.

But back to you. I would send a thank you note addressed to human resource, or hiring committee(?)Baord/councel not with one name on it- that way it is for everyone. If there is one person who was the head of it(Like the person who you thought was orginally gonna be the only one interveiwing you) then I would also write her a seperate thank you. Anyways, good luck!

Thanks. Good luck to you too!
