Just found out today that I got my first choice preceptorship in the family birthing center for my final quarter. I am so excited as I believe helping to bring babies into the world is my future career. I eventually want to become a Certified Nurse Midwife and am happy I get this opportunity now to see if it is really what I want. Seasoned nurses out there, do you have any advice for this new adventure?
Congrats! Be sure to post in the OB nursing forum. I'm currently precepting in mother/baby (plan to be a CNM as well, but L&D here won't hire new grads). Good luck!
