St. Augustine, Florida RN Salary

Specialties Emergency

Published

Hi! I am looking to relocate from southern NJ by Philadelphia to the St. Augustine, Florida area. I have about 1 1/2 years emergency department experience...anyone have an idea of how much I can expect salary wise? I have my associates degree and will have my BSN completed by October of this year. I also have BLS, ACLS & PALS.

I know I won't get paid as much as I currently am, but I'm afraid the pay cut might be more than my family can handle. I've spoken with a few HR departments in the area in Florida but salary was only discussed at one so far and it was substantially lower so I am looking to see what the areas average pay is. Any information is appreciated. Thank you!

Bueller, Bueller....anyone have any information? lol!

Well, there is only one actual hospital in St. Augustine (Flagler, which I believe is a Magnet hospital, if that matters to you?). If you don't end up there, you have a choice of going into Jacksonville (Baptist, Memorial, St. Vincents, Mayo, UF Health off the top of my head) or down into Palm Coast where I know for sure Florida Hospital is, but I am not sure what else. It really depends on where in St. Augustine you are looking to relocate. St. Augustine (St. Johns County) is a pretty big place. It could take you over an hour to go from one end to the other end of the county... I am still in nursing school (almost done!) so I can not tell you about pay but it's been my general assumption that they most pay about the same, give or take a few dollars. But I do not know this for certain. Feel free to PM me or post back if you want to chat about the area :) Good luck!!! It's a great place to live!
