St. Al's ED in Nampa vs St. Luke Telemetry

Published

My family and I will be relocating from Alaska to Idaho in the near future. I am searching for hospital RN jobs and have so far gotten interviews scheduled all week! I am very excited about this new adventure, moving thousands of miles away, getting my first hospital RN job...but also nervous about picking the right unit/hospital along with all of the upcoming changes :nailbiting:.

I have read some of the posts about St. Al's Regional ED in Boise, but nothing about their ED in Nampa. The interview felt like it went great and the director asked me for a second interview with some of the charge RN's. I also have 2 more interviews with St. Luke's; a telemetry unit in Meridian and one in Boise. If anyone could give me some insight on either, anything, it would help. I have a background of 2 years ED tech and 1.5 years at an outpatient cardiology clinic imaging dept. I've got to be honest, if offered a tele job, I would be excited but a little nervous about going back on the floor. I am more comfortable in the ED. It's hard not to have flashbacks of nursing school when I think of returning to the floor (which I know it won't be that bad...right?! :)

Interview for Tele position in Meridian went great. The DON sounded so nice and personable. She is having HR check references and she said she would get back to me...If offered jobs for all, this would be an incredibly tough choice. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
