Hello everyone,
This is my first post here. I have been visiting this forum for a while now, and truly like the threads here, they are all very informative.
I just need some input from you guys.
I am a Professional Nurse from INDIA. I was pursuing my options to come to the states and was contacted by a recruiting company in the states. They say they can sponsor me and process my applicaiton. Before I start pursuing it much firther I just want to make sure, that is the company even eligible to process my applciation. I wanted to know what are the minimum requiremetns for a Nurse recruiting company in the states to sponsor a foreign nurse. I mean how old should the company be and other stuff like that. Because this recruiting company is not that old. So I just want to find out as much as I can, and be self satisfied about the companys eligibility to sponsor.
I really appreciate all the help from you guys,
Thank you in advance.

Ha ve you taken any of your exams yet? Such as either CGFNS or the NCLEX? Without having passed one of those, they cannot petition you as an RN, but only as "slave" labor as I call it. If they say that you can change your status once you get here, don't go for it.
You need to pass either CGFNS exam as well as one of the series of Englishe exams to qualify for a green card. To do it any other way, is actually illegal in most cases.
Bwe extremely careful before signing any contract. I suggest that you check out the stickies here at the top of the page for working in the US, as well as the one on agencies.
