Spiritual perspectives on healing from non-Christians

Published

I'm an ADN to BSN student enrolled in a Spirituality in Nursing course. I am supposed to talk with other health care professionals who believe in a non-Christian religion. I was wondering if any of you might be able to help me out by answering a few questions. Please indicate what faith you belong to.

Thanks, so much!! :yeah:

(1) What is your spiritual perspective on healing?

(2) What are the critical components of healing, such as prayer, meditation, belief, etc?

(3) What is important to people of a particular faith when cared for by health care providers whose spiritual beliefs differ from their own?

(4) How do patients view health care providers who are able to let go of their own beliefs in the interest of the beliefs and practices of the patient? Compare these beliefs to the Christian philosophy of faith and healing

Um these sound a wee bit more like homework questions.

It is a homework assignment, however, I'm supposed to interview other health care providers about this topic and ask those questions. The paper is to be a compare/contrast of Christian beliefs versus non-Christian beliefs.
