Hey everyone.
I was accepted into the Summer LPN-RN transition program at SPC. I start some time in May. I am waiting for orientation and having a hard time with the unknown.
I have done my finger prints, drug test, and back ground check. Passed
So I am wondering the first semester we take Nur 1060 and 1001, correct. Is it like typical SPC programs where we are able to pick the instructor? Or are you assigned to a class? As far as clinicals go how do they split the class up?
I have a good friend who applied and has not heard anything yet and we would like to take the class together (if she gets in). So I am just wondering how it works out.
Also are classes every day of the week or do we vote on the times we go or is it totally based on the instructor. I have younger children so trying to figure what to do with them while I am in class during the summer.
Thanks anyone for any tips and pointers! Also does anyone have a list of books? I would like to start reading ahead of the game.
That's great for you. I just moved here so idk any of these places!! What are the school schedule and hrs?
UOTE=xojuliahhh;7844882]Congrats. Too much to go over. You get to pick your clinical location that day. SPG, Mease Countryside, or Morton Plant I believe. You prob wont be getting you first choice since it was kinda first come first serve. I got my choice of St Pete General.
just email me, at least I will be notified when you respond lol. [email protected] I chose that hospital bc it's like two mins away from my house. I'd rather go to a baycare hospital, however, seeing that i am not a morning person, and I just happen to fall into the day program time frame, i don't want to go any earlier than need be. If I chose any of the other two hospitals, i'd prob have to get up around 4/5 am. YEAH RIGHT lol.

I don't know any alternatives, our orientation is tomorrow, and I have accepted already. I will hopefully have more info after orientation. Do alternatives go to orientation as well? I wish there was a way I get alerted when someone replies to the comments. ahhh.
