Southwestern College Fall 2023 (SWC)

Hey everybody! I wanted to start this thread like previous cohorts specifically for the Fall 2023 cohorts. From information I gathered the general size of the cohorts are 35-40

How many points is everyone applying with? I believe I am in the lower end 80/82

Got accepted as an alternate. Got my email at 3:52. Do you guys know the odds of getting in as an alternate?

I feel like you have good odds because a lot of schools don't get back until April and if they are the preferred school a student that accepted will give up the spot

Have any of the alternates try calling swc and asking for your position on the alternate list?

I got my alternate list email today. Does anybody know the chances of being selected from there? Or how many they place on it?

No, I read on a previous post that they're not allowed to tell you, but I haven't tried

Yeah I called 2 days ago and they are not allowed to tell you. They can tell you the amount of points you got but that's about it. When did you get your alternate decision?

hello! for the alternates, has anyone been offered a seat?

The orientation is on May 3rd. If people don't show the spot goes to an alternate. Also I know a bunch of the schools I applied to won't get back with decisions until the end of April. I'm not sure when BSN programs get back to applicants because I didn't apply to any but it might take longer. I know the wait sucks!

Nothing, was sent the date of orientation but not location yet and I know MiraCosta and palomar won't tell their decision until may so those that are in the swc list and actually want the other schools won't drop their seat until those decisions are made ? waiting game until then.
