Hi guys, I took mine on the 19th. You CANT really prepare for it...and honestly I don't think you should worry about it. It asks you situational questions but it isn't based on your knowledge of patient illnesses or symptoms. Basically it asks for your opinions and asks how you would handle certain conflicts. It wasn't that big of a deal and only took me about 30 minutes to complete. Hope this helps, and good luck :)
No, they said they would call in the next two weeks if I am getting an interview though.
Hey foxtrotunicorns,
Thanks for the info! This may be a silly question..but I wanted to ask since we are only taking the nurse battery test we don't have to dress professionally right? Just curious because I'm driving a few hours away from home and I want to make sure I bring my professional clothes with me if necessary. Thanks again!! :)
Hi, just took the battery test. As already mentioned its a lot of situational questions. It's online, 23 questions, & you have 60 minutes to answer. Also found out that they got 200 applications and 15 available positions. Not all the applicants showed up for the test so that brings the # down:)

Hi Everybody!
I applied to Southwest Healthcare System New Graduate RN Program in Murrieta, CA for the Med/Surg position. I received an email recently and was invited to first take a Nurse Career Battery test before being considered for an interview.
Has anyone taken this test before? I tried calling HR, but they wouldn't answer my questions about the test or how to prepare for the test. I just want to make sure I am fully prepared to take this test. I've been applying to new graduate programs for several months and this is the first time I've been contacted about a potential interview. I've researched online and the only thing I found was pdf from the DDI company that distributes the test with facts about the test..

It seems like it's a multiple choice test, but I'm not sure because I've read on other threads that there are situational type questions..Are there essay, or NCLEX like questions? Any feedback about how to study or prepare for this test will be very much appreciated!! Thanks!! Good luck to everyone that applied :)
