Hello! It is my first time applying to the SIUE CRNA program. I am finishing the prerequisites and will submit my application by the deadline on May 1st!

Are you from Illinois? Do you know how many applicants they usually have and how many do they interview?

I am also applying! I am just starting my biochemistry course and am taking physics this Summer as well.  From what I have read, I think they get around 100 applicants and accept 24 students, but could be wrong. Good luck everyone!

Congratulations already to us for putting in an application! I was told they increased the class size to 35 and typically the applicant pool is over 100. There’s really only three of us who responded to this post, which is pretty unusual? don't know if this is the aftermath of COVID but last year CRNA schools mentioned a bigger applicant pool was noted. Let’s see if more applicants join our thread.

Just put in my application today. Waiting on one more referee to fill out their form everything else is completed otherwise. Anyone here re-applying from last year? SIUE or any other schoo?

Has anyone got an insight to what the interview process looks like this year? I know last year it was online, so I wonder if it's going to be in that same format?

I heard from current students that there are back to in person classes, so my best guess is the interviews will be in person this year. 
 

Btw. I finalized my application and just submitted it last Monday, how long did it take before you got word from SIUE that they have received your application?

Hello! I submitted late March. I have not heard anything back yet. On nursingcas, my submission just says verified. I believe they are waiting until the deadline has passed.

@Nursyinpurse how long did it take to go from received to completed to verified? And did you have all the references in by the of submission? 
Also anyone used charge nurses instead of supervisor? Ours resigned and not on best of terms ?

It took around 5 days. All of my references were in before I hit submit.

My Application got verified on NursingCas as well. The wait game starts now.
