Hi! Starting a thread for SCTC Spring 2025 ASN nursing cohort. Is anyone planning on applying?
Future Nurse Forbes said:I applied to the program in Griffin. 3.85 GPA and 77 on the HESI. Im hoping I get in although I didn't score what I wanted on the HESI. I applied to the program August 1st. I wish you all the best!
Id like to add that I've done the calculations and the lowest score accepted was 454.4 Spring 2024. I estimate (or hypothesize)that 455 - 460 might be the cut off point this term. Ex: 3.85x100 is 385+77 is 462.
If you calculate this way, you can better understand your chances of getting into the program.
I have officially applied for the Henry Co campus! No we wait! 😅 Good luck to everyone!!
If you go to the Southern Crescent website, they have the competitive scores from the last couple of years, it is broken down by the highest and lowest GPA that was accepted and also highest and lowest HESI score from last year that was accepted. I know it's super competitive but it gives you something to base your scores off of.

I'm not understanding what you are saying. Would do you believe they are cutting off at 455-460?

cutting off as in, no one with a 455-460 is getting accepted?

Lowest score was 454.4 ... I showed you how to calculate your score.
GPA is a lot more important than HESI score. If you have a 90 on the HESI and GPA is 3.6. your score will be 450 which is under the lowest scored accepted.

cut off as in, if your calculated scores are under 455, you probably will not get accepted into the program. Depending on how many people apply, they work from the highest score until seats are filled. The highest score was 494.3 last year and the lowest was 454.4.
Anyone that scored under 454.4 did not get accepted into the program.
