South University

Hi All-

I'm looking for any feedback (positive & negative) regarding South University's online MSN program. I'm looking to start a general MSN program in January '09.

I look forward to your replies.

Best Regards,

Debra

Hi Debra,

I am currently enrolled in South University's MSN program online. I have 11 weeks left until I graduate. I have had an excellent experience and I'd be glad to give you more information - just let me know what you need!

Thank you for your reply! How is the support from both a technical & Instructors/Facilitators aspect?

Debra

No problem! The entire time I have attended, I have never had any technical problems (knock on wood!). From what I hear though, the technical support is good. They always announce days ahead of time if there will be an "outage" so I've never had problems with that. As far as instructors go, it really depends on what instructor you get. I have only had 1 (out of 12) that was bad about checking her messages. Most of them send out an e-mail or call you before the class starts to make sure you're prepared. I have had a really, really great experience there. This was a different (but good) experience for me since I earned my BSN at a small Baptist college and it was all classroom. But I think I prefer online now.

Thank you again Mommyto2boys. Your response has been most encouraging. One last question I just thought of. Does South University use Blackboard/WebCT?

Debra

Not that I am aware of, at least not in the MSN program. I am only (a little) familiar with those because the school I am precepting at uses them. All of the messaging is done via the classroom. The main page of the classroom has a place where all announcements are posted, and then there's a "questions for the professor" page. There is also a page for each week where you can post if you have problems for that particular week. I hope that this helps. Feel free to message me anytime if you need anything!

Thanks again Mommyto2boys! Your replies are most appreciated. :wink2:

Sincerely,

Debra
