South Georgia Medical Center

Published

I am interested in SGMC in Valdosta, Georgia and was wondering if anyone knows the hourly pay rates, shift differentials, scrub colors (does the whole hospital wear the same color scrubs?), cost of insurance and benefits, etc.

Pretty much anything and everything!

Oh wow thats where I want to go and possibly do an externship when I graduate... I got a couple of years though:uhoh3: lol. Can you please let me know if you find this info and I'll do the same.

I'm bumping up this question so maybe someone new can answer. I have an interview with SGMC on Friday for an LPN position.

Specializes in Peds, Med-Surg, Disaster Nsg, Parish Nsg.

Moved to the Georgia Nurses forum for more responses.

Ceil blue or white is the scrub color. I'm starting as an LPN at 15.65 per hour with shift diff for nights at 1.75 per hour. Weekends is an additional 1.75 per hour. I will be working 12 hour shifts.

Hope that helps anyone looking at South Georgia Medical Center. I just got hired and start in a few weeks.

Note the MedSurg floors are ceil blue. Some departments have specialized colors. Im in IP Rehab and they just got their own colors--turquoise blue and galaxy blue.

Specializes in MICU.

Does anyone know what the pay rate is for new graduate registered nurses at SGMC? I have an interview coming up and I am interested to know.

I'm not 100% b/c I do not work there, but I do work close. The payrate for starting RNs in South Ga is +/- $20/hr.
