Hi,
I'm currently taking my pre-nursing prerequisites and will be finished by the Summer Term of 2014. I'm hoping to get in for Fall 2014 (wanting to apply to UM, FIU [both which only start in Fall] and Barry.) That said, i'm not sure i'll be able to apply as i'd still be taking my last remaining prerequisite classes the summer before.
Do you know if any of the nursing programs I mentioned, or others I have not, would allow me to apply for Fall under the condition that I finish my prerequisites before the start of the program?
I heard for FIU that i'd need to be taking my remaining classes during the spring term for which i'm applying in and so i'm concerned that some of the other programs follow the same practice. I've also heard, from nursing friends, of cases where students who still need to take classes are provisionally accepted so I have no certainty either way.
If it turns out I wont be able to, I'd be looking at waiting a year before I could apply to a good handful of the nursing programs in Fall 2015. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Yes for FIU you have to apply by March 15. That spring semester has to be your last one. If you are finishing pre-reqs in the summer they will not consider you. I applied during my last semester and was accepted after I turned in my final transcript.
You are not considering applying to Nova? They only need 36 credits, I have a friend who was accepted and is still taking classes to complete her AA. She finishes now in Summer and will start Fall 2013. Nova is expensive as well.
You do know UM has slightly different requirements and requires biology with lab. And its super expensive if money is an issue.
Barry also requires a religion class and some other courses as well. You can take those while you are in nursing school but it will cost you some more money. Since Barry is expensive as well. I applied to Barry and know how it works. And I have a friend who will start there in fall 2013.
In the end UM, NOVA and Barry are all expensive. But there are scholarships available. Some give you full rides and other are partial. Look into them, because they exist.
