Hello everyone,
I am applying to a new Accelerated BSN program in Rapid City that is being offered through South Dakota State University. SDSU has offered their ABSN programs in both Aberdeen and Sioux Falls, and will finally begin a cohort West river in Rapid City, SD January 2021. The application is now available through NursingCAS with rolling admissions. This is a 12 month accelerated program with lectures, labs, and clinicals being offered in Rapid City. The program needs a minimum of 6 students to actually move forward and begin classes in January. I am trying to spread the word about this program as their marketing plans have been hindered by COVID-19. Because this is a 12 month ABSN program, applicants do need to have a non-nursing bachelor's and have completed the prerequisites. Here is the link for more information: https://www.sdstate.edu/undergraduate-nursing/accelerated-bachelor-science-nursing-rapid-city
Do not be discouraged if you take a look at the prereqs and think you are missing some! Reach out to the Academic Advisor for the program and she will check all of your unofficial transcripts and explain what may meet the requirements. There is still time to finish prereqs as well if need be! Please help spread the word about this program!
Thank you and good luck with your future endeavors!
Applications for the Rapid City ABSN will be considered on a rolling basis until August 15th or until the program is filled with qualified applicants!

I applied to the Aberdeen program for January 2021 but did not see a rapid city option.
