how soon after grad. can we take NCLEX?

HI,

I'm new to this and i was wondering. How soon after we graduate, i graduate next may..can we take our NCLEX. I am trying to plan a vacation and trying to figure out when i can take it. Also do they have NCLEX times throughout the entire summer, so we can pretty much take it whenever?

Once your school sends off verification that you graduated, you send in what you need to, you can get a test date within 2-3 wks. It took me 2 wks to get the authorization to test (ATT). I haven't scheduled my exam yet, you have 90 days to schedule. They have tests dates available everyday you pick the day.

For almost every state, other than California, the BON must recieve a full set of transcripts from your school before you will be permitted to sit for the NCLEX. For some students this has been over six weeks of waiting.

NCLEX exam is offered thru Pearson-Vue, they have test dates almost every day, except for legal holidays, and not sure about Sundays..........just depends when they have openings. You can take the exam where ever you want, it doesn't have to be in the state where you are going for initial licensure.
