Soon to be ADN graduate at Delaware Tech

Hi everyone,

I am a soon to be graduate from delaware technical community college. I will hopefully finish school in December and my anxiety is kicking in!! I was hoping to hear from other ADN nursing students/graduates and inquire about their job search and experiences.

Are you able to apply for externship before you graduate? Around here some hospitals will take you as an extern up to a year before graduation. It’s a really great training program basically like an extra clinical day but you get a lot more freedom along the way.

Hello!

Since you are a recent Del Tech graduate, I hope you can answer some questions for me. I am beginning the program at Stanton in January. Right now the options are morning class/morning clinical, afternoon class/morning clinical, afternoon class/evening clinical. I am a mother with 10 & 12 year old children. Could you tell me the hours of the different clinicals? I am having difficulty deciding which class clinical would be best for me and my situation. I am a good student but am also wondering how much study time I should allot for. I will only be taking NUR 170 the spring semester. Thank you so much, I appreciate any advice you can offer.
