My son was a cna here in Michigan but decided to move to Chicago to be a flight attendant. While working for the airlines, he let his cna expire. Now he would like to get back into nursing and is having a problem finding a cna class in the chicago area. Does anyone know of nursing homes that offer them in the area? How about tech schools? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help Jean

Most of the community colleges offer them. Have him start there. And welcome him to our city!

For him to get another cna lisence he does not have to take the course. He just has to pass a written test that is aprox 100 questions long,And pass a skills test that involves:
Transfering a fake patient,Taking there tempature, pulse,Taking there blood pressure,Communication,Handwashing. And 2 additional tasks that are in a scienario. Like put Ms.Jones is 80 years old, blah blah blah she has adeam she needs ted socks put on and she needs to be fed lunch afterwords. Wich would be somthin like oranges, fruit.
If you go to http://www.nurseaidetesting.com/info/faq.htm That should help. It has testing dates/times/locations,Info about the fees,And training courses if he is looking to brush up on his skills.
