hi.. i'm going to nursing school.. and i have 1 year of clinical left now before the graduation... i'm usually a really good student and i don't go out much since all my times are used reading textbooks and just studying studying studying. About 3 weeks ago was my best friend's birthday and i went out to party with my friends for the first time in maybe 3~4 month. that night all of us got really drunk and somehow i became the driver even though i was under the influence..i ended up crashing into another car and i was charged with felony dui.... i know it's my fault theres no doubt about that and i've been going to bunch of AA meetings and all the program that comes with dui.. but what shocked me the most was that one of the nurse in the hospital where i went in fro check up told me.. that i can never become a nurse now even after i finish school and pass the test.. now, Is that true?? even with out conviction, just being charged with dui will i not be able to become a nurse?? my lawyer was telling me that my charge will probably get dropped down to misdemeanor dui since no one was seriously hurt... Can anyone tell me?? It's a nightmare everyday for me.. all those hard work and studying going to waste.. i really dont know what i would do....
