Someone please help!

I have just completed my nursing pre-req's and am having a big problem. I received a DUI over two years ago and was told this would prevent me from entering into a clinical program. I have a 3.833 GPA and have not had a drink since. Does every program require a criminal background check even for DUI's? Is this a Pennsylvania law or just certain school's? Please help I need to know if I should just give up on my dream!

Unfortunately, none of us can even speculate on the effect that a DUI would have on your eligibility for clinicals or future licensure. It's a matter to be taken up with your school as well as the state BON.
