Hi, future nurses! Creating this post for those who applied to Solano Community College with a 2024 start date.
Has anyone heard anything yet? Previous community threads here talk about how you don't hear anything until February or possibly March, but that seems so far away.
Fingers crossed for all those who applied!
Note from allnurses Staff
To help all of those looking to get started at Solano, we've put together a bit more information about the program below.
Solano Community College is based in Fairfield, California. The college offers a quality two-year ADN program with a most recent NCLEX pass rate of 87.18% in 2022/2023.
There are between 35-45 students taking the NCLEX exams in a given year, so you can expect roughly 50 students in your cohort as not all will continue the program through its entirety.
The estimated total program costs are $8,000 to $8,500, or roughly $4,000 in annual tuition costs.
The deadline for acceptance into the fall nursing program, which starts in August each year, is September 1 – September 30. For this cohort, you should have already applied for entrance if you'd like to start in August 2024.

If they don't fill out the forms that were provided by the school then you need to make sure your providers note says "no restrictions for activity or work.”
@jennnn0403 --I see what you are talking about and mine is doing the same.
@Katie Caruso @lalawekesa--I wish they provided the concrete schedule as well. I can understand not knowing the clinical hours for everyone but this is a huge schedule change for us all (kids/work/daycare) and we need to plan!
Also, I'm not sure she specified about the fit testing but it seems like something they would provide. Still waiting on information about the background/drug screen so there is no way we can fully submit on My Clinical Exchange, right? We can hit the submit button but it doesn't seem like everything will be 100% checked off?
@Serena Ramirez -- I received an email from Melissa Pegg today with instructions for the patho course.

I have everything with a green thumb except these items:
background check
drug screen
fit testing
