I applied to just one school for this fall, the only school I want to go to. I sent all my paperwork by the deadline, still missing one class but I sent them my roster and the admissions counselor said it would be ok.
A few weeks later I took the NLN at the same school and spoke with the admissions counselor. She said that I did not receive a call from the school because they were missing my college transcript. She brought out the file and when she went through it, there it was, behind another paper. She quickly apologized and said I would be called for a phone interview. This was in mid-February and I never got called.
I phoned again two weeks later and she said that they were now waiting for my NLN scores. I told her I got them, told her my score and she asked me to fax them, which I did and she confirmed receipt. Again, she said she would contact me for a phone interview.
I called a few days ago, she says, "You're missing Chem." I said to her that I was taking it next semester and she said that was fine and we were right on schedule.
Yet I never got called for an interview. I just called and her assistant says to me that letters are being mailed this afternoon. Knowing that made my heart break. I know I didn't get in. I'm so sad and still at work. I just want to go home and cry.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I'm pretty much in the same boat too! I've been working my butt off doing pre-reqs so that I could have a chance of admission this September. The college advisors "advised" me to re-do my English 12, to get a better mark. I spent 4 months re-doing it and got an A+, which I was so proud about! Then when I spoke to a different advisor, they informed me that because I had gotten a C+ (the minimum grade to be accepted in BScN) in high school, my new mark will be averaged!!!!!!!! I was so mad! So for all my hard work, I ended up with a B+! Apparently if I had failed grade 12 English or had gotten anything lower than a C+, I would have kept my A+. So in other words, they're punishing me for passing in High school. Go figure. Anyways, now I am doing my Math 11 and Chem 11 and will be finished by July 16. The pre-reqs for the nursing program must be completed by July 30. I was told that because I would have them finished by then, my application would be considered. Well, I called about two weeks ago to check on my application, and was informed that I was declined entry because my pre-reqs were not done! I don't know who runs these places, but the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing, that's for sure! ANYWAYS, I've decided to get the English and Biology parts of the BScN degree out of the way in September. I've been accepted into the Bachelor of Arts program and will be able to take the two courses, which are part of the degree. Are you able to take those parts too?? I was told it's better to have those done before you are in the nursing program anyways, then you have a much lighter course load. Look into it! I was really upset when I was declined, but hey, everything happens for a reason. I will eventually become an RN, and you will too! Our time will come, just keep positive and don't give up!!!!!!!!
