Today's my first day of summer school . . . only two weeks, four days each, but it's actually making me miss my own clinic and staff! (I'm at another school for summer school.) Once this is over I'll have about 3 weeks left before staff development, moving in, etc. Can't believe how fast summer's going by!
I go back to work July 29th. We have over a week of staff development days before the kids return. Every summer it goes by so quick and I never get all (if any) the things done I really want to get done. *Sigh* There's always next summer. Plus, my online college courses start back the end of August. Boo! I took the summer off so I could get energized again for classes......didn't work. 3 more semesters and I'm done. It seems a lifetime away.
My first week as a school nurse is just about over. Kids start back next week. I don't see why nurses in my district start with no training even on the computers. We start a week after teachers. In spite of the stress a new job has I love it! The nurses in the district are so helpful and encouraging. They are self appointed mentors that show the true spirit of nursing. I have kids with life limiting illnesses and SMI along with the typical asthma, diabetes and ADHD! I am scared to death and excited! I ca not say "I'm back" however I can say "I have arrived!

Okay School Nurses,
Who's just about ready to go back to work ? It has been a relaxing summer, but I am ready to start anew, and get cracking.
I miss the kids and the staff..(ugh...I'm sure I'll regret these words) !! Mostly the kids though.
We all get a brand new start, here very soon.. Enjoy what's left of your vacation. We are so very lucky to have this job !!
