So glad I left that place!!!!!

Many of you might remember me posting about my fellow co-workers getting slugged and slapped in the face by two adolescents at the psych hospital I used to work at.

Well anyways, I ran into the nurse who was ambushed, had a blanket thrown over her, keys and name tag taken and then slapped in the face. She was telling me that the DON and admin never said anything to her about the incident except to ask if she had called me and told me and is that what made me quit. Not a sorry or what can we do to make sure this never happens again!!!

I cant believe it! I told my friend that I would have pressed charges and she said that she was so upset that it never crossed her mind.

She is still working there because she cant afford to be without a job and she is also finishing up the RN program. She hates working there and has tried to find another job with no luck so far. She will be gone from there once she has her RN and said she will never work psych again.

She also told me about alot more incidents that have gone on since I left. I dont know how some places get away with this.

I am so glad I do not work there anymore!!!!
