Hi guys, I'm planning on applying to nursing school here in SoCal. I'm done with all my pre-requisites but the problem is that my gpa in my science classes is just 2.3. I've read that every school here requires you to have a gpa of at least 2.5 in your pre-requisites (science classes). I can't retake any of my science class as I already have retaken one of my A&P. Also, they only allow you to have one repeated class.
Should I still send my applications to the schools that I want to apply to even though I already know that I didn't make the cut for one of their requirements? I'm so discouraged right now and I'm not sure if I should do it or I'm just wasting my time. Did anyone of you were in the same situation as I am right now but still managed to get into the program?
Thank you!

Can you retake any of your other pre-req's at a different school? Some schools allow you to retake more than 1 class and will just deduct a few points for attempts (if they use a point system). You will need to bring up your gpa, but don't get too discouraged just yet. If you can bring it up to a 3.0 you might have a chance at some of the schools that are a bit less competitive - plus, if you can do really well on the teas exam and/or admission essay it will boost your chances quite a bit!
Don't be picky - look into lots of different schools and be sure to check out their requirements before you apply. Some schools will only take your first attempt at pre-req's and some will only take your first teas score. There are plenty of places out there that are more lenient. If this is what you want than you're not wasting your time!
