So how big of a factor is credit history in getting accepted into the Army?

Published

I saw someone's comment about as long as you don't have too poor of a credit history, you should be able to get in... That kinda scares me because I'm not swarmming in debt, but I do have close to $5000 in credit card debt with a couple in collections right now. Can this disqualify me from being accepted into the Army nurse corps:cry:

The amount of debt is not too bad, wish I was only had that much. The credit cards in collection could hurt you, I do not know how much. Credit that is too bad can cause you not to be able to get a secret security clearance which all officer need to have. You need to speak with a recruiter on this, if not at least go to GOARMY.com web site and do an online chat with them about this.
