So Anxious!!!.....

Published

Ok where should I start, I have decided to start a nursing career and am currently taking classes to apply for next fall. Now, my problem is I am anxious about everything, every little test every time I dont grasp a concept I start to doubt myself and think that maybe this isnt for me. I am just so scared this is my dream, my passion, my everything and if it doesnt happen I dont know where I will be.

Am I alone in this!?! Are any of you feeling the same way I am scared of everything and doubtfull all the time? Just looking for advice, help, a word, anything! Thanks for listening!:bluecry1:

I know how you feel...it happened to me too when I first started a few years ago when I begin to do all my prerequisites. Right now..I'm waiting for acceptance letters and I can't wait. My GPA is 3.2 ( all my sciences are A and B's) But still...I applied to Molloy, NYU and Suffolk. I also applied to Adelphi but haven't taken the NET Test. I basically stalked the Mailman everyday!!!! LOL Anyways, for some reason I feel confident in getting in.

My advice to you is to do REAL good and get 4.0 in all you Sciences courses- If I only knew how tought it was, I've would made more effort..but know I'm paying for all the partying I did in the past.

Don't get discouraged..just know that it is an thought road! Is not easy and once you get into Nursing school, it is going to be even Harder!

Good Luck to you and If you need help with any class, let me know..I'm here to Help.

Loving- I'm just finishing my last prereq. I study A LOT, and some of the people I study with feel just like you do. I usually don't feel this way though. The reason why is we study all the time. I know that it's hard not to focus on your grades, but try to remember that you are doing this to be the best nurse that you can. You have a dream of becoming a nurse, let it be your guide, and the grades will follow. Oh, and one other thing...this stuff IS stressfull. Sometimes you just have to step back and put it all in perspective. One class at a time. You can do it! Hang in there. We all go through this at some point.
