Snead State LPN to RN Online Mobility

Published

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to confer with other individuals who applied for the upcoming Summer 2014 online mobility class at Snead. I would also love to hear from current and former students of their program ( workload, clinicals, easiness/hardness of the program. Any input would be great!

@jdmelton88 for which school? snead or wallace? i dont know if ive got accepted to snead yet.

@jporterlpn either school would be fine! I just trying to see which program would be better for me to apply to because I want to continue to work! Right now I am working 3-11 and I just need to see which program will work better with my schedule

At Snead, you only go on campus for exams. Clinicals you arrange individually according to your schedule, and the classes are online.

Just a heads up- they meet Tuesday. Got this from the director myself *fingerscrossed*

It is that every two week on campus exam requirement that will prevent me from accepting a spot at Snead. I can't take off work every other Tues.

Alright, the 1st person to hear something post immediately - I'm moving this week and am worried that my letter will be lost in the mail -don't know if I'll get in but I don't want to miss not knowing in time! Thanks

The secretary said letters will be out by the end of this week! I don't think I got in. It's 100 qualified applicants and while my teas score is good my sciences are just B averages at best

wow- now i'm really scared. I had 2 A's and a B and only made 75.3 on the TEAS.

I'm sure your fine ranger *rollseyes* lol. I had a 72.7% on teas and two B's and a C. I'm the one that's scared. I have wallace to fall back in which had a hybrid option. You just have to go to campus for the test (just like snead) and they offer night and weekend Clinicals also. So I have something to fall back with. And their pass rate is higher.

Well, if I can get in either Snead or North East AL then I won't take the Calhoun Online. - if I don't take that then that leaves an open slot that maybe you could take, since you wanted that. Who knows maybe it will all work out, or maybe we both get into Snead and actually are classmates!

I hope so! But I do urge you to take calhoun! Their board rates are higher! That's why I'm thinking Wallace may be where the good Lord is leading me to!

Snead letters are out. My wife was accepted. She will decline her seat, so that's one more seat for those wanting it.
