Ok so i have been waitlisted for ITT tech here in Wichita Ks.:uhoh3: Iam am thinking about trying National American University. I guess i am just eager to get back in school. See, I am already a Registard Medical Assistant and most schools require to be a cna before starting school. I really dont want to step back to jump foward..you know what i mean?? So should i just wait around for ITT? any reviews from National American or ITT Tech? Or should I just take pre-req's in the mean time? or just say F it and go to a commuity college?? (thats hard because i have a one year old) I just dont know what to do and I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. HELP!!!!:confused::confused:

My advice is to the CC route... the money you save on tuition will more than pay for day-care for your child. Also, you can be sure that the class credits are transferrable - so you won't have to repeat them when you decide to advance your education in the future. Also, you won't be paying 3X what the degree is actually worth.

Be patient and focus on earning the best GPA you can. If it takes a bit longer, that's OK. By the time you obtain your license, the economy will probably be better and jobs for new grads will be easier to find. Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much for your advise. I missed the start date for commuity college, so I am just going to wait until next semester and "play things by ear" thanks for your advise. Did you do a cc? soory for all the questions but im just curious:)

I completely agree with this post. I'm doing the ADN program through a CC and in my opinion its alot better for different reasons. Its closer to my job so once i get out of work, i can go to classes faster and waste less gas. Not to mention the tuition is ALOT cheaper than our local university. A win-win for me :)

Don't wait. I've seen people waiting for almost 2 years on a waiting list. They would have been a nurse by now. Apply to the CC's ADN programs in your area, if you've passed the date, start taking your prerequisites in the meantime. You have to do something NOW towards your nursing goal.
