Anyone applying to SJVC visalia for the 2019 cohort?

Anyone familiar with their app process and finances? and good luck to everyone applying.

I got an email at 4:59 pm today stating that I’m an alternate.

I just would like to bring up what she mentioned during my interview and what I’ve read in past forums.

Interview: she said that there’s 36 selected and that from there everyone is an alternate and they just start going down the list when they need to fill an open spot. They are arranged by how many points you accumulated so from 100 pts to 90 pts, etc.

Ive also read in forums from previous years that people were also selected as alternates, but didn’t know what number they were. Long story short, I think that being chosen as an alternate means that we didn’t get into the program.

This is just my opinion and what I’ve gathered from what I was told/read.

Yeah. Which I think the one you got is the one that’s actually where you’re an alternate. I could be wrong with what I said but it’s my take on the situation.

true that might be the case. I know my email was a bit different then my friend who is also an alternate .. I wish they would just tell us what everything meant instead of us guess and going crazy lol

I agree. I just hope I’m lucky enough to get into fcc now. But knowing the odds lol I’m just going to pray that I do

Finally got an email around 5:30 pm , today. I’m an alternate ... ??

I wonder if Everyone that didn’t get in is an alternate ? .... guess I’m going to WCU!!!

Lol sorry I just read the previous posts , yes we are all alternates , some of us are real alternates and some are just in case the real alternates and the people that actually got in bail .. lol??‍♀️

Let me know who’s going to WCU!

cool! I wonder since they told me I was on the first list I could call and asked what number I am ? hmm

other than Sallie Mae, what other loan companies are you guys looking at? I want to be ready just incase I somehow get moved down the list considering a few other schools will be announcing their acceptances soon
