What do you do for child care? I just started a new job and I'll be orientating on day shift for a month and then my position will be permanently on nights.

My parents will care for my child while I'm working but I'm not sure the best and easiest way to handle it for my son who is 6. Should I drop him off at my parents at 6 am and have them take him to school? I guess I would then have them get him completely ready for bed and just pick him up about 730 at night and put him to bed when we got home.

Just looking for ideas to make it easy on my son and I. Thanks!

Pretty much what you suggested. I get him ready for school, pack night clothes, she feeds him breakfast and drops him off at school. He stays after for activities & sports. Sometimes I'm done before him. Sometimes I'm not.

When I do nights I drop him off ready for bed unless he needs a shower with his school clothes. I pick him up and drop him off at school and go to bed.
