Discussion

Since you all have the experience....

As most of you have made it through the admissions' process, I wanted to ask..how can I make my app stand out beyond prereqs,GPA and entrance exam scores.I am getting my CNA license this spring and it looks like I will have at least one recommendation from an actual RN. Is there anything else I can do or should do?TIA

take as many pre req and general ed classes that you can. this will ensure that you only need "nur" classes, and not any eng, bio, etc.

it will look more competitive if you only need your nur classes.

just keep applying..it is competitive.

Do really well in your general ed classes and don't retake anything. That gives you a better chance but never give a school more than they would want. Since you are getting your CNA license that along with recommendations will probably help you along.
