I am not interested in a union vs nonunion thread, we seem to have enough of those around.
I simply want to know what unions are out there for nurses in the US.

I'm vastly over-simplifying, but traditionally, nurses have been unionized by the ANA and the ANA's state constituent groups (for example, the New York State Nurses Association).
A new addition to the mix is groups that organize other workers, but have begun to recruit nurses. An example of that is the Service Employees International Union (the SEIU).

I'm a member of 1199, Health Care Workers of NM. It is a part of AFSCME.
