Simmons College versus University of Cincinnati FNP Program

I am applying to both programs, but i just wanted some feedback from anyone who has applied or is attending either of these programs.

I really love that Simmons College has actual classes and that it is very interactive. My only concern is that this will conflict with my work schedule. I work Tuesday through Friday 8-5 and would like to keep my same schedule the first year. I understand that come clinical time I will most likely have to cut back to three days a week. My advisor has told me that I can take night classes but I am afraid that as the program goes on there may be classes during my work schedule. I just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with this, and how you are enjoying the online program.

University of Cincinnati is more asynchronous and more affordable. $34,000 versus $58,000. I have had a good experience with the advisor thus far but wanted to hear back from anyone who is attending the program and their actual opinions on it.

Any feedback on either program would be much appreciated!

I'm applying for the May 2015 cohort and I'm extremely nervous. What are your thoughts on doing a shorter program that costs more money or a longer program that costs you less. Im just nervous about the tuition?

I am feeling the same way But I believe that it's a great investment. If I get accepted I will do it. Are you in the FNP program?

Hi, I'm interested in any current opinions on the Simmons online FNP program. I've been accepted at Simmons and at Maryville for summer 2016 start. Simmons is double the cost, seems more polished and professional generally, and, from what I've seen on this site, students are more consistently happy with their experiences there.

What Maryville has going for them: one class at a time; significantly less expensive; and they seem to be constantly improving, from what I can gather.

My financial goals are important to me, but I also need to be confident that I'll have the support and quality of education, to make a grueling 2 1/2 - 3 years of hard work worth it!

I hope to hear from current students or recent graduates of either of these programs. Thanks so much for any input!

I've applied at Simmons, the online program, and would also be interested in some more recent feedback about Simmons.

Congratulations Saraha21! I'm waiting to hear back. Are you going to attends Simmons, or are you still thinking about it?

I think so. I am waiting to talk to some current students or alumi from the program to get some more feedback. I only applied to two programs! What about you ???

Thank you !!!!! What cohort did you apply for ? Do you know anyone who has attended Simmons fnp program ?

Simmons is the only college I've applied to so far. I applied for Fall 2016. I haven't heard back since there was a delay with one of my letters of recommendation.

Do you have to take the bridge course?

Let me know what you find out ! Yes I have to take the bio class starting in September. You ?

I won't find out about the bio bridge until the faculty reviews my application. I do have to take the statistics refresher though, since it's been over 8 years since my last statistics class.

Well good luck and let me know what you find out ! Here is my email [email protected]
