Ive just applied to Simmons online FNP program. Expensive but I like the live webinar format. Doesn't seem that any other program offers this except Georgetown. I'd love to hear reviews from othrs, also.

I'll be in the Jan'15 group. If anyone else ends up in that group I would love to keep in touch! I've read a few of the posts on here and they all seem positive. It seems like it will be a lot of work, but that there is good support from the program

I just started my third term this week! So far I love the program. It's challenging and I feel like I've really learned a lot thus far. The live classes are great, and it's nice to actually "see" people and the instructor to have discussions and clarify information. Student support is amazing when you have issues and quick to reply. The registration process for classes has some limitations but it improves each term so they are working on it! The grading is fair but tough. 83% is the lowest grade you can get and still pass. Pharm 1 and Pharm 2 are VERY challenging and a lot of reading/studying. I enjoyed giving presentations in class as well =)

Hi Tasha,

Thank you for your reply. I'm hoping I get accepted. If so, I'm sure I'll have to complete the Biology course being that I received my ADN in '91 and my grades were not so good. back then My BSN GPA was 3.85 so I'm hoping they will look beyond my youthful ignorance of applying oneself and look at my accomplishments since. A concern I have have is juggling 2 or 3 classes at a time while trying to work as much as possible. I am a single mom so it's up to me to provide. I am very hesitant of the cost but hope that the audio/visual aspects offered through Simmons "pay off" in the end with an excellent education. I've read several of your posts and have always felt inspired by your words. :-)

For Kylie Now that you have graduated I'd like to know how you would rate Simmons with that hindsight still fresh in your mind. I've been accepted but have a few days to accept their offer... I get conflicting reviews all over the place! Thank you in advance!

For TashaLPN2006RN2012 - How are you liking Simmons program so far?? I've been accepted but haven't quite decided if this is the right school for me or not. I think I'd like the live webinar classes and the availability of online program. I have read so many conflicting reviews that I've decided to just ask those of you who attend how you like it! Thank you in advance for any info!
