Going back to school...

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello all!

I was in nursing school for 3 year s at a state school, in a BSN program. I wasn't making enough money to pay my rent and bills and was forced to drop out in order to get a better job. I want to get back into nursing, but the problem is that I owe my previous institution somewhere in the neighborhood of 3000 dollars before they will provide my transcript to transfer to another institution, or resume classes there. My options are as follows:

A) Save money and pay the state school what I owe, and continue classes there

B) Save money and pay the state school what I owe, then transfer to another institution

C) Start from scratch at another 4 year school

D) Start from scratch at a local 2 year school, finish, start working, pay what I owe, then finish the BSN later.

What do you guys think I should do?

A is the most straighforward approach.

It's the most straightforward approach, yes. But is it the best option to get me back in school and working as quickly as possible?

Yes, that's what straightforward means.
