Hi all,
I'm a first-year nursing student who is struggling with A&P I. I took A&P I in my fall semester and ended up withdrawing the class due to the advice I received from my lecture and lab professor. In my college, the passing grade for anatomy was a B+ and after midterms, I had a C. My professor told me there was no way I would be able to get a B+ and that I should prepare to take it in my spring semester. (If I withdrew, my grade for the Spring semester would be averaged with my Fall semester)
WELL, near the end of the first semester, our new Dean of Nursing sends out an email to all nursing students to let us know that a C+ was sufficient for all nursing classes. I was so close before withdrawing, and I was devastated when the news came out.
Now I'm nearing the end of my second semester and my grade for anatomy is even worse than my first semester. I've got a D+ (averaged from lab and lecture) and I know that the best I can do will be a C-/C. I've been looking into other career choices even though I really want to be a nurse because I don't know if I should take anatomy and physiology I AGAIN. Any advice?

If you want to be a nurse, you'll have to take it again because your program won't accept less than a C+ and you're highly unlikely to be able to transfer the A+P credit to another program with your current grade. If nursing is what you want, retake it and do absolutely everything to pass. Get a tutor, make a study plan, address the reasons why you're doing so poorly now. If you decide to pursue another career, then taking it again only risks further lowering your GPA.
You need to decide whether you want to be a nurse or not. That question drives the answer to your title question.

The choice is up to you. This class (as with most classes) is just rote memorization. Devote time to it. Go over the information over and over again until you get it. Google search clever mnemonics to help you remember similar items of information.
If you have to say no to meeting up with friends some night, or miss an episode of your favorite show, or skip some family function - oh well. You gotta do what you gotta do.

Go for it! Take it again but figure out what you're losing points on. What are your current study strategies? Make flashcards and go through them whenever you have a few minutes to spare here and there.
