I got my CNA in 2010- was pregnant, then was stay at home mom after my son was born. So ..after 2 years of not being active- my license expired. Life happens. You may need a job, you want to further education and having your license current is always a good idea. I sent off the paper work to retest and where I am its only going to cost me about 200 dollars to renew my status, oppose to a 700 dollar cna school all over again- I just applied to a LVN program, and as with any nursing program- theyre going to ask if you have your CNA and or experience as a CNA, LVN, RN etc. It would like good to say yes and that youre still currently active, as it can waive you from having to repeat the skills that you have already been trained on.
