Hi there,
I am an Acute Rehab nurse, I've been here since I graduated 2 years ago. I float to a neuroepilepsy unit pretty often. So, I have an advanced beginner understanding of med-surg nursing, I think. I am also working on getting med-surg certified by the cmsrn. I have always been passionate about and interested in women's health care. There is a fellowship open at my hospital for GYN surgical, "variable" shift. There is also a day shift position open, but that one is not a fellowship; it only requires a year of RN experience, though. My question is should I do the fellowship and brave having to work nights? (I really, really don't want to do that, it would put a huge strain on my body and my relationship). Or would it be okay to jump right in with an orientation?
