I want to be a nurse more than anything...The nurse that helped my father before he died was just phenomonal and made me want to be a nurse even more. I have an almost two year old daughter and I went to school for Medical Assisting...If I thought THAT was kinda hard, then I can't imagine how nursing school will be...I am terrified of failure but this is something I really want to pursue....advice??

I'd start by asking yourself these questions:
What programs are in your area?
How much do they cost?
Can you afford it? How do you plan to pay?
Do you have to work during nursing school and how many hours per week?
Do you have affordable, reliable child care for class, clinical and study time?
Do you have transportation to and from school and clinical sites?
What does the job market for nurses look like in your area?
What will you be giving up in terms of current earnings and health benefits if you have to quit your current job or reduce your hours for nursing school? Can you afford that sacrifice?
