Hi I am anxiously waiting for the email back! Did anyone else apply this cycle?

Thanks for responding. Another quick question, I emailed ---------------------- & she said for Winter the minimum is 99.85. If I have below that do you think it's even worth applying?
Thanks!
I definitely think it’s worth applying if you have 1 or 2 point lower than the minimum. You can At least be waitlisted and have good chances of getting in.
Hey,
I found out that I was not even close to the minimum points to be considered. I'll be retaking 4 classes (all science) in hopes of bettering my grades. But besides retaking classes how can I tally up to at least 100 points? I'm feeling down because I'll be 24 this year & this unfortunate event sets me back. If I was lucky enough to get in for Winter 2024, I wouldn't graduate until I was 27. This is a horrible feeling.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks!

If you have time, try to up your volunteer/work hours since that is a big section to get points in! Another big point area is experience in a setting addressing health inequities. Another thing you could look into is other schools if that's possible for you. I applied to multiple schools for Fall 2020 since they all have different requirements. Some are less grade-based than others and the point systems are not as challenging as Shoreline's.

Hey hey hey!
I saw your post and I just had register to comment. Do what you got to do! Volunteering, retaking, anything! If you can work or volunteer in a community health clinic you can say you work with minor ethnicity population, which I think it's gonna be a plus!
Don't be discouraged! I am currently in 4th quarter in SCC but I can tell you this if it makes you feel better. I changed my major from Art totally unrelated to Nursing. It set me back two years (I already got my AA) Then I had to take all science courses for pre-req. Then applied for SCC and HCC, they both denied me first time (I did not passed HCC due to their random selection process but I was qualified). SCC miscalculated my points and their rejection letter was missing when they sent it to me. I could not appeal because it passed their two week timeframe. I had to reapply again and the whole process set me back a year. I reconsidered my major and restarted at 27 to nursing route and gonna graduate on my 31st birthday month next year ?
So....YOU CAN DO IT! I understand how much discouraging you might feel. The lost and incompetent feeling and how you coming to the end of your youth kinda get you, I totally understand that but do not let it stop you!
Good luck with your journey!
