Hello,
I'm not starting this class date but hopefully I will with the next class. I'm currently attending Mcfatter vpi, to improve my tabe math score. My goal is to enter the August or Jan class at Sheridan Tech.
Please keep me posted as to how things are going and the overall quality and things to be expected of the LPN program @ Sheridan. People say they prefer Mcfatter but I think Mcfatter is very unorganized. I really liked the atmosphere when I attended vpi @Sheridan.
I congrats and I wish you the best of luck and from what I hear study, study, study and you will be fine.

Hey everyone!!! I wish u lots of luck for you in the program. Can anyone tell me a little about their program or any other program. What are the requirements and and are there any other schools you guys can tell me about ?? I'm interested in any info!!! In advance thanks for your help.
Well first day in...not too bad. mostly orientation and some left (current cna or hha) i have to take core classes. We logged in online to see where we will be taking test and getting all assignments...not bad at all. I find Sheridan pretty organized I like it..A lot of students are repeating so I can see that this will not be an easy road but I am willing to do anything in my power to do well. so good luck with tabe and hopefully you get to start in august.
That sounds exciting!!! Keep me updated on your status !!! Quick question besides the tabe test what else did u have to have required to enter the program. If you took the teas what was your score and gpa ?? Sorry for so many questions, I really just want to know what it takes to get in lol!!!
on the teas v at sheridan i think you need a 58 overall. I GOT an 82 i purchased the book from the ati website and studied the weekend before... it isnt hard just had to brush up on math.. language and reading is simple but the science is hard.. just make sure you do the science section on the book. good thing is you need a 58 overall so as long as you do well on the other sections science being low wont matter. they wanted a high school diploma but gpa didnt matter.
That is great that you got an 82 on the test!!! so how is the program coming along??? I'm excited but nervous to start. So if you pass the test and their is a seat open in the class you are in the program?? BTW I wish you lots of luck in the program !!!!!!!!
Well, both of you are a few steps ahead of me but I don't intend on giving up. So both of you please keep me informed about the program. Being that we all are attempting the same path at the same school.
Hope all is going well and remeber you can do!
It okay so fare. I am only in block one...but I can tell you block 2 is where they wing out the strong from the weak...in block one it fundamental and a&p.. its not that bad but in block two your taking med-surg and pharm at the same time and that is going to be hell.. while at the library i speak to the other students and that is the hardest period of your life....then block 3 is maturnity, ped and gys. its not to bad ....i will keep you posted on progress.
no seats on this block but you can get in august...start getting background check and physicals shots (if you need any done). for the tb test you have to take the first then the second test 30 days later so you want to get a head start. you wont get into program without the two step tb test....your other shots first dose is enough...good luck on your teas
Thanks for the reply. I knew you we're going to say ,Pharm, dreaded block. I've already heard about it. Well at least you already know, this will allow you the headstart to buckle up on the studies.
I recently took CNA at Mcfatter so all the immun. and background check I have out the way. If I can just get this tabe/ math study done, and then on to the TEAS. I'm not worried, i'll get there.
Thanks again, and keep up the good work. Talk with you later:-)
