I was a lil disappointed yesterday cause I thought I had 206 points originally it turns out I only have 198 points not even 200 points!! idk how I calculated 8 extra points in!! So NOW I am nervous!!!

Yeah, you just bring the money order for that and your uniforms. By the way, do they want exact for the uniforms (w/o taxes, etc)? And how do we order more in the future? And hey y'all!!!

I was wondering about that too. I'm assuming just whatever the price is on the paper.

Okay... nsm2012 where are you gonna get your stethoscope? I need to get one at a decent price. Also can we transfer grants and scholarships? UA offered me an academic scholarship in addition to two state grants and I wanna use them at Shelton.

Hey, if the university specifically offered you that scholarship and grant then you can't use them at Shelton. I started off at UA and I lost all my scholarships when I transferred to Shelton.

Shoot. That's what I was afraid of. Sucks to walk away from that:arghh:. One is the FSEOG grant and the other is the Alabama state grant. You think I can reapply since they are accepted @ Shelton?

I would talk to the enrollment people or your advisor because that doesn't sound like something just through the university of Alabama. I know I had like a merit scholarship through the university which is why I couldn't transfer. But I know some of my government funding wasn't accepted by Shelton.

I'll give them another call tomorrow but I'm sure you're right. I was most worried about my academic scholarship which I'm pretty sure won't go because Alabama did offer me that one :(

Yea I know how you feel. But I guess in the long run Shelton is a lot cheaper anyways! Did you get into the nursing program at UA?

No. I only had a 3.2 GPA and I was a came as a transfer so I never stood a chance. That's why I left to apply elsewhere. I will go back for my BSN/MSN after I get my RN at Shelton. it won't take me as long because I'm done with almost all of the core. I will just have to do the clinicals and and remaining nursing courses.

That's pretty much the same situation as me. I feel ya. I'm glad I'm in Shelton though.

Hello ladies. My wife and I are both wanting to go to the Shelton nursing program. My wife wants to start Spring 2016 LPN first and then RN and I want to start Fall 2017 RN. Anyway, we would like to know what current nursing students think of the program. Are the instructors helpful? Is the program material difficult because of the amount of material or the material itself? How do clinicals work? I noticed that the hours are from 0630-1530, does that mean clinicals are all day? Is it common for nurses to have a job waiting when they get out? Also, she currently only has 123 points for the LPN program though she is retaking English 101 at Wallace online to try and replace the C she got in English 110 with an A or B. We have so many questions its ridiculous!
