Has anyone taken this program? Thinking about it and was wondering how you liked it? What is on the NLN pre-entrance exam? or anything else you may want to add regarding this program, Thanks in advance!
Thanks Alize for the heads up, I am trying to organize things at home now so I will be ready to go in August. Starting to get a little nervous now. I think I am more nervous about the unknown. Congratulations on graduation!
and the best of luck in your nursing career!
what was the toughest part of school? I have been trying to review things in a&p and math just so I am not so rusty when school starts. any other tips would be great thanks and again GOOD LUCK and CONGRATULATIONS!
It's good now while you have the time to review. It'll give you more time later to review other things. We constantly had tests/quizzes virtually every week on different subjects. For myself, the toughest part was staying organized and being on top of the syllabus'. There was always something due. I also suggest the med cards you will have to do-keep them all organized and together. You will need them throughout the program. Some kept them in cases others punched a hole in them and kept them together with a ring. You will have so many! Instructors are on you about meds and math during clinicals. One last thing-never be late for class/clinicals-for class they lock you out and can't get in until break. Then I believe you have to pay and make up the time. Same thing for clinical. Good luck!
Don't really know much about the program itself but we've had students do some of their clinical rotation on the floor where I work. I have to say that the instructors and students were great...always well-prepared, had a variety of experiences, including EKG interpretation and always presented themselves in a professional manner...always a pleasure to have them around!

Hi all. Passionlessfool-dont give up. Things happen over the summer and there is always people who cant start the program. I graduate from there this wednesday and it's a tough program. Last year about 1-2 wks into the program, they were looking for 1 more person to fill in. So dont give up.
Congrats purpleshamrock-it's gonna be a LONG 10 months. Be prepared and be organized. Ask for help if you need it before it gets too late. The instructors are there to help you. Feel free to ask me any questions that you may have. Otherwise I plan on being there the first night of class to speak to everyone.
