shared governance

Our hospital has no voice for the nurses and many changes are made which directly affect our ability to practice safe nursing. I know some hospitals use a concept called shared governance and I would like info on this to share with my colleagues. If your facility uses shared governance or some other process similar please let me know how it works and if you think it is effective.

We use a shared governance model that our unit developed based on a few other models. It has had a huge impact on turnover and staff morale. It is hard work but let me know if you want the details. I would be glad to talk to you
